From the Gate of Dawn we will follow the route of Grand duke’s direction to the Palace near Gediminas’ Tower and the Cathedral. On the way you will hear historical overview, nowadays realities and some curiosities such as:

• When did we start eating with a fork and who taught us that?

• In which church was the Atheism Museum during Soviet era?

• Is it possible today to climb the defensive wall of the castle?

• Where did the Baltic Way (human chain of 600 km) have begun

Additionally, if wanted - Amber tasting

During activity you would be given a chance to get familiar with amber structure, species, process of formation and possibilities of use. Learn how to recognize amber through five basic human senses: odor, taste, touch, sound and image. You would also find out where and how the amber incense was used by the crusaders, what qualities we can apply in modern medicine and other amber secrets.
