St. Bernardine church in the dark
Let's meet the Bernardine church with our eyes closed!
We will imagine that we have all lost the gift of sight, so using the gifts of touch and hearing we will get to know the Bernardine ensemble: the holy staircase chapel, the old and the new altars, the festive corridor, different echoes of the voice as we move from a smaller space to a larger space, etc.
People who see will feel and practice the daily life of the blind.
Blind and partially sighted people will have the opportunity to recognize objects read in books (Holy Bible, history, architecture, etc.) and to visualize them more clearly by touching them with their hands: altars, frescoes, Gothic ornaments and other.
The excursion is adapted for the blind and partially sighted people, but suitable for everyone, because each participant will be given a blindfold and thus the tour will take place in the "darkness", ensuring safety.
Duration: 1 hour
Location: St. Francis of Assisi (Bernardine) Church, Maironio str. 10, Vilnius
